The AED Foundation of Ontario is a non-profit organization. Our mission is the promotion, advocacy, and education of automatic external defibrillators in the community.
Every year in Ontario approximately fourteen thousand people suffer a sudden cardiac arrest. Research shows that early CPR and AED use increase the chances of survival up to 60%. Unfortunately, the amount of time an AED is used is less than 4%. While public access defibrillators and programs have existed in Ontario for over twenty years, to date the survivability from an out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest has still remained at less than 10%.
This is what the AED Foundation of Ontario wants to change, and we need your help. By donating to the AED Foundation, you are providing us with the ability to create awareness and expand AED programs in the community. With donations the AED Foundation can engage and expand our media reach, and raise a larger stakeholder group capable of significant change. Together we can increase sudden cardiac arrest survival.
